Our Governors

Rev Andrew Facey - Community Governor - Vice Chairman

I am the Vicar of Christ Church, Epsom Common, the Church of England parish in which the school is sited. I am also the Interfaith Adviser to the Diocese of Guildford. I was vice chair of governors of a school in my last parish. I am committed to helping build community in the Epsom area, and I am excited to be involved in the wonderful opportunity that a new school represents.

Vince Romagnuolo - Community Governor

I have lived in Ewell for 15 years and I have a daughter attending a local school. I am also one of the local borough councillors for the area where Southfield Park School is sited and this is the first time that I have been a governor of a school. I am really excited about having this opportunity as I am passionate about the education of our children. Children should have all the opportunities to reach their full potential in a happy and fun environment.

Colin Taylor - LEA Governor

I have an engineering background and as the local County Councillor, I was involved in the creation of this new school. I have several years experience as a Governor of another local primary school. I believe that children learn best when they feel secure and happy in school, but need the challenge and stimulus of sound teaching in order to reach their full potential.

Rachel Jervis - Community Governor

I am one of Southfield Park's community governors. I live on one of the new housing estates which the school has been built to serve. I feel it is important for the wider community to contribute to the education and welfare of local children. I have a long-standing interest in childcare issues and it is a great opportunity to be involved in setting up a brand new school.

Graham Cox - Parent Governor

Having lived in the borough for 7 years, 2004/05 was the year my eldest started school. We chose Southfield Park because we not only wanted to give our children a great start but also be involved in an exciting new local school. I have been in the wine trade for 15 years and now run the off-trade department of a big importer dealing in the premium sector.

Melanie Lees - Parent Governor

I live on Manor Park and enjoy being involved in our local community. As my eldest child was approaching school age, I very much wanted to know about and be part of his education. Being involved in setting up Southfield Park from the very beginning has been a fantastic experience. I am currently chair of the Community & Premises Committee and keen to develop my role. I look forward to seeing the school grow and develop and supporting our children to reach their full potential.

Julia Kirkland - LEA Governor - Chairman

I joined the board of governors on 1 January 2004. I am a freelance training consultant, specialising in financial services, having spent over 20 years in the investment management arena but am now devoting more time to family and local issues. I attended a number of the public meetings regarding the provision of primary places in the Epsom area and always supported the building of a new school to meet the growing demand. Both my children attend Southfield Park.

Pritesh Pankhania - Parent Governor

Elected parent governor in January 2007. Having lived locally for many years, I am proud to say that all three of my children attend Southfield Park Primary School. My aim as a parent governor is to support our fabulous school as rigorously as possible so that each pupil who leaves the school, does so well rounded and with a solid academic and social foundation for secondary school and the future. A graduate of Loughborough University Business School, my commercial experience has been both in business development and as a company director for the past 15 years in the Technology, Commercial Interior and Wellbeing sectors.
